Hello, I'm Amasil. A computer science student at the University of Calgary, pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science.

Experienced in a diverse range of programming languages, including C, C++, Python, Java, JavaFX, JavaSwing, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.Js, and Express.Js. Proficient in utilizing developer tools such as Git, MySQL, VS Code and GitHub Copilot to drive effective development processes.

In my current role as a CSR at Intact Financial Corporation, I have demonstrated a strong aptitude for optimizing processes. Leading the creation of thorough guides and resources, I have improved the effectiveness of the payment workflow and added to the team's success as a whole.

At the University of Calgary, I work as a lab supervisor. I effectively manage and administer lab equipment, supervise its maintenance, proactively address computer problems for almost 200 users each week, and optimize support for faculty and students.

My work experience also includes a role as a Claims Assistant II at Intact Financial Corporation, where I conducted system checks, ensured resource readiness for new hires, and supported claims adjusters in accurate claims management and file handling.

I am passionate about software development and have undertaken impactful projects, including a Blood Donation Management System using React, Node.js, SQL, and MySQL, Websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git integration, and a DTPR Payment Calculator with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Committed to community engagement, I volunteered at Calgary Hacks 2023, where I effectively communicated expectations and logistics for 250 participants and oversaw the management of 45 groups.

Eager to expand my technical expertise, I am dedicated to contributing to innovative solutions in computer science and making a positive impact through my skills and experiences. I am excited about transitioning into a career as a software developer to further pursue my passion for crafting efficient and impactful solutions.
